Grey is the perfect neutral – a mix of white and black, it goes with everything, is soothing for the eye, and has many tone variations.
Grey, silver, ash, charcoal, slate, stone, iron, granite, smoky, dust, fog…for each type of grey, I could mix the perfect eye or nail shade!
One of our lovely Pixi girls in LA decided to have her bridesmaids dress in grey for her wedding – sooo pretty, ethereal and unexpected!

A makeup minimalist, the bride only likes fast and fuss-free products – the fewer the better. So to line her “bambi” eyes for the big day, she used Lid&Line in Smoky Grey – this all-you-need duo has a liner crayon and eye shadow, plus a smudger in the wand. It stays on through laughter and tears (happy ones of course!) and takes up hardly any space in your purse!
LOVE this Look!

What’s not to love? Bronzed face, pale matte lips and silvery-grey shadow dusted all over eyes. A mid-tone silvery grey looks great on brown, green or blue eyes. Pure perfection!

Got to LOVE the girl that falls UP the stairs at an event!!! If charm had a face, this would be it!
See our previous post about this look here: http://www.pixibeauty.com/petrapersonally/jennifer-lawrence-2013-baftas-makeup/ It’s so, so gorgeous that we think it’s worth repeating
Jennifer’s makeup artist, Kay Montano, shares how she created the look:
“Jennifer looks great with her eyes ‘widened’ and tilting upwards with lots of blending. I began this look by applying Pixi Lid Last Shadow in a wide smudge under her eyes and as a starter for the shape extending up and outward slightly, and softening in with my fingertips.”

I do love a grey mani – it’s the perfect combo of edgy and business! Works for work, works for play!
Matte nails are all the more edgy and very stunning – apply a matte top coat (like Pop Beauty Nail Glam in De-Glaze) to any of your polishes for a more trendy effect.
If you want to go with a shiny lacquer, we recommend our own lovely Mink Grey (a strong favorite in our Pixi LA office!). This bestselling grey has a hint of warm purple which makes it more “alive”.
Grey is such a versatile colour – it’s easy to dress it up…
… this ruffled light grey dress is so delicate yet makes such a statement!
OR you can easily keep grey casual…
…I just picked up a pair of charcoal Converse – I’ve loved and worn Converse since I was about 15! They just look so good with everything casual, and have perfect “go-shopping” comfort! Plus, I got a matching pair for my 6-year old Perfect!
For a kitchen makeover, grey is a timeless colour that you won’t get tired of.
This kitchen is in my native Sweden – we do love every shade of grey! Gustavian Grey, especially, is one of our favorite colours for anything in the home.
Vintage grey-ish Swedish rose painting hanging in my kitchen – a Swedish auction find.
Me in my favorite grey dress – the shine makes it lively and the deep slate colour is perfect for work! Love also that it’s wrap-around so that I can eat a lot for lunch without anything being too clingy!

Even if it’s a grey day outside, it’s always sunny when I’m around these two!
