This is was a repurchase, my reviews are normally short and minimal, but this product deserves more than that! A few years ago I had my all time favourite facewash, from another brand. I thought I’d be using it for the rest of my life… then in 2020 the brand folded. 😭😂

Ever since I’ve been looking for another clay/mud based facewash to fill those enormous boots. It’s taken 5 years, but finally got there with this one! Can’t sing its praises enough.

I have combination skin, and while not generally sensitive, get eczema flare ups when I’m run down. The glow mud cleanser works perfectly to clear oil and prevent congestion where my skin’s oily, but doesn’t dry my skin out at all.

One thing I do have to be careful with is exfoliating products, unless very gentle, they do aggravate my skin. But no issues with this at all here. Using once a day, I get just enough to keep my skin bright and no irritation. I’ve even used through an eczema flare up with no discomfort. A little goes a long way too, so one tube lasts a good while.

My reservations before buying first time around, as the ‘mud’ is diatomaceous earth, and I was certain that my skin needed kaolin clay (diatomaceous earth is considered a more abrasive ingredient). I was worried this might be too harsh for my skin, but the way Pixi have formulated here, this isn’t the case at all.

The only thing I’m sad it doesn’t have is Salicylic acid. I’m using it elsewhere in my skincare, so I’ll live… but if you ever wanted to…
